You will not receive any grades from Reading Resource.  Your  teacher may decide to grade activities done in class in connection with Reading Resource.  I will update your teacher on progress and/or problems after each Resource session. 

     You will receive a Progress Report from me to be taken home with each Report Card. Students may leave the program at parent request, or if sufficient  improvement has been made:  determined by test scores and/or teacher  recommendation.  All Reading Resource students will be given an individualized reading inventory at the beginning and end of each school year to help assess changes in reading levels.  Reading vocabulary and comprehension scores on the Terra Nova and the ISAT will also be compared each year for continuing Resource students. Subtest scores on both the above tests will be analyzed to help focus instruction.

     I will also be in touch with parents during the year to: 1) inform them of a student's inclusion in the Program, 2) discuss student successes and continuing difficulties, 3)provide opportunities for them to ask questions or voice concerns, 4) to schedule a formal appointment time on Parent/Teacher Conference Day.
