Goal of Grant

To link the core areas of curriculum and train staff to develop curriculum that will foster highly motivated, engaged learners, eager to share their thoughts and solve problems, both inside and outside the classroom.

Benefits
The resources from the TLCF Grant let us begin the "Change" process to:
(of our delivery strategies and by not changing current curriculum)

  • Organize subject matter around real life problems rather than disciplines.
  • Give students the responsibility for shaping their learning
  • Ensure that students and teachers connect with the community and the world.
  • Change the role of the teachers to co-learners and mentors.
  • Show learners the need to use many disciplines of learning to solve real world problems.
  • Require students to demonstrate to an authentic audience what they have learned through the experience.
