Class schedule!

    Hello my name is Rich Komar and I will be your fifth grade teacher.  This is my sixth year as a teacher and my third year at McAuliffe.  The first school that I taught at was in Blue Island, Il (that is about 15 minutes north of Tinley Park).  I taught bilingual fourth grade. That means that I taught some students who only spoke English, some students who only spoke Spanish, and some who spoke both languages!  The next year I decided that I was tired of the cold Chicago winters so I traded them in for the warm California summers.  (Click here) California.  There I taught fifth grade for one year.  I have been at McAuliffe Elementary ever since. 

    Outside of school I enjoy playing different sports, playing and listening to music, watching movies, and hanging out with my friends.  I bet that is not too much different than most of you!

    Alright enough about me let's talk about fifth grade.  This year you will become a much more responsible and independent student, what does that mean?

• Homework will be your responsibility

• You are responsible for your own actions

• You will respect and work with ALL of your classmates
