WELCOME TO THE 2004/2005 SCHOOL YEAR FROM MRS. QUILTY

Welcome students and parents of the 2004/2005 school year!  I may  be familiar to some of you, not so familiar to others.  Therefore, let me introduce myself.  My name is Mrs. Quilty and this is my third year teaching at Matteson district 159.  Prior to teaching in Matteson, I taught in Berwyn for four years in a first through third classroom.  My educational background consists of a Masters in Learning Disabilities, and a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Educable Mentally Handicapped.

I want my parents and students to know that I utilize an open style of communication with my parents and my students.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me at school and, if I am available I will speak to you, or get back to you at my earliest convenience.

Also, I have utilized e-mail as a form of communication with my parents.  It is a very effective, quick way to communicate back and forth.  The district has installed security measures to ensure privacy, therefore, that need not be a concern.  If you are interested in initiating this means of communication, please feel free to contact me at mquilty@dist159.com.  If you do not have e-mail access, not to worry, I also use other forms of communication which I will inform you about.
