Who Am I?
Personal Goal:
My name is Doreen M. Jones. I have three children and one granddaughter. I enjoy reading, listening to music, exercising, and expanding my educational training, as well as courses which allow me to express and to demonstrate my creative attributes. Along with my mom, my children and me enjoy traveling and vacationing together with other family members and friends. Our other activities include those that can be done throughout the year in both indoor and outdoor settings.
I've began my full-time teaching in August 1986- April 1992 with the Chicago Catholic Archdiocese. I later began teaching in the South Suburbs near Chicago in Illinois. Due to life changes, I have also worked as a part-time Substitute Teacher in the Chicago Catholic Archdiocese, the Chicago Public School, and in two South Suburban School Districts.
I enjoy my career because it gives me a opportunity to spend time with my children, other family members, and friends during the holidays and during the summer months. Also, I enjoy working with children and their parents because every day is a new experience. Children are eager to learn as well share their knowledge with those around them. Therefore, my goal as your child's Co-Facilitator Computer Lab instructor is to collaborate with the Classroom Teacher on various State-based curriculum topics being taught in the classroom. We'll use technology to enhance your child's learning by expanding the tools available for them to use through various technology mediums and Internet sites.
