I love to travel to different places every few years. In 2004, I took a cruise to the Southern Caribbean with my family and visited the islands of St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Lucia, and Barbados. I have also cruised to the Eastern and Western Caribbean visiting such islands as the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Cozumel, San Juan, and the Cayman Islands. In July of 2005, I traveled to Las Vegas with family and friends. In June of 2006, I took a cruise to Alaska and visited Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, the Inside Passage, and Hubbard Glacier. In June of 2008, I took a cruise to Europe and visited Paris, London, Cork & Dublin Ireland, Edinburgh Scotland, Flam, Alesund, & Bergen Norway. Every year I go with my mother to visit her family in Iowa. I have also traveled to Arizona, Missouri, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Key West, and Disney World.
In my spare time, I enjoy scrap booking. I use stamps, chalks, colored pencils, stickers, and stencils to highlight the special memories in my life, such as vacations, holidays, birthdays, and time visiting my family.
I have recently began trying my hand at making different kinds of blankets. For my first type of blanket, I crocheted an afghan. My grandmother was always crocheting things for my brother and myself when we were younger. We could always count on her to make us new blankets, sweaters, and other things every year. It was very time consuming but I finished my first afghan in 2005. I am currently making tie blankets using fleece material. My aunt and uncle showed me how to make my first blanket last Thanksgiving. It is very easy and simple to do. I have currently made 12 blankets for family and friends.
