SAFETY is our primary concern in the science laboratory. Because chemicals are used regularly, there is to be NO FOOD or GUM in this science classroom/lab. It’s the law.  (OSHA Standards 29CFR1910.141.g2/4). This includes unopened packages, even candy being sold by school groups.  Any food I see will be taken and discarded.  Do not ask for food to be returned.

Fire drill directions are posted at the front of the room.  Be sure all flames are extinguished.  Turn off the gas and water.  Close all doors and windows.

It is your responsibility and mine not to abuse furniture, walls, drapes gas jets, sinks, equipment or books.  Report broken or missing equipment and messy lab stations to me immediately.
